About Us
We are a team of specialist insurance brokers, some with over 40 years experience of advising Almshouse charities. We are experienced in arranging cover for heritage property risks, including Grade 1 and Grade 2 listed buildings, social housing risks and the various unique aspects of Almshouses.
We work closely with The Almshouse Association, being a recommended provider of insurance products for its members and looking after almost 1100 of its members. Director Douglas Grout, has been advising the Association on insurance matters since 1978. We have a dedicated team of advisers who are familiar with the operation and requirements of Almshouse charities. Operating nationally, we regularly attend Almshouse Association Seminars held throughout the UK and visit member charities on a regular basis.

We can also help you tackle underinsurance, a perennial problem affecting around 81% of insured commercial buildings. Insuring property for the wrong amount means insurers could reduce claim payments by the corresponding proportion. Therefore, we have partnered with rebuild cost assessment specialists to offer clients an affordable rebuild survey (desktop or physical) to determine the correct building sum insured.
